Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero was released on October 11th, 2024. It’s available on Xbox X/S, PS5, and PC. This is an Anime that’s worth 23 billion dollars encrypted into a video game.
Video Games and Anime are two things that some people typically turn to for various reasons: to relieve stress, to gain a new self-interest, or even for just plain entertainment. Combining the two would create a whole new world which would create adversity for these people who have so much curiosity towards these digital games.
Though there have been plenty of Dragon Ball video game releases in the past, I’ve never seen a more anticipated Dragon Ball game. It could even potentially draw more fans to the franchise especially due to the creator of the popular anime sadly passing in March of 2024.
16-year-old Aydin Mcduffie, an 11th grader who’s part of the Beta club at Westwood, likes that the CPU and interaction from them in the new game is better than how it was in the old game.
Mcduffie states, “wouldn’t change anything about the new game and that the graphics for the new game and old game are both pretty good for the times that the two games were released.”
When you take and compare this game to its last release back in 2007, you must look at different factors that play a crucial role in playing video games to begin with such as televisions, game quality, new and improved gaming consoles, movement, and the different designs of the games.
Christopher Stone, another 11th grader at Westwood states that “this game just may be the peak for all of Dragonball gaming.”.
Stone mentions his favorite thing about the game is the addition of the new characters in the game that have either never been on a dragon ball game or have not been in one since 2007 or earlier. Stone, like Aydin, wouldn’t change anything about the new game either. These factors have come far between 2007 and 2024, Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is a part of the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series and is the fourth installment of the series and was very anticipated.
After fans have seen the success of the third installment, they could have been expecting the game to come into existence within only 2 years of the third installment being released. 16 years later in 2023, it was finally announced that the fourth installment to the series would be released the following year.
This made fans all over very excited, especially for those who have played and loved the third game. Now in 2024, the game is released and it is quickly gaining traction likely due to its greatly anticipated release.
Popular gaming YouTubers and streamers such as SeeReax, RDCworld1, Agent 00 Everything, DashieGames, etc have been playing this game since it debuted in the gaming industry. It has also managed to sell 122,554 copies in just 3 days into the release and has maintained an impressive number of players daily with it maintaining at around 50,000 to 55,000 and its peak being at over 70,000 players thus far.
