On September 4th, during lunch in the main gym, students held a club fair to showcase all of their options. Different tables were filled with flyers and posters showing what the organizations were about.
The gym was filled with students of all grade levels chatting with each other and the representatives of each group.
There were over 10 different options for clubs and organizations, ranging from academic-based clubs such as the National Honor Society of Sports Medicine to more interest-based clubs like book clubs or anime clubs.
Some clubs were student-run, like the anime club, K Club, and others were run by older mentors, like the National Dance Honors Society. Senior student Sydney Shaw, a future member of the book club, stated that she “enjoyed the atmosphere and sense of community that the clubs offered”.
Other students like junior student Kaylee Crout noted that it was nice that you could choose any club that you liked and you were not pressured or forced to join a club that wouldn’t fit your interests.
The club fair lasted the entire Thirty-minute duration of lunch and most students found time to stop by and sign up for a club or take a look around before the lunch period ended.
Some students like junior Leandro Flores Sanchez were able to find multiple clubs that aligned with their interests.
In all, the club fair was a massive success for students and club owners alike. Students were able to join clubs they were interested in and club owners were able to gain new members.
